What is the benefit of natural wax?
There are many reasons to use natural wax in candle making, here are the main reasons that I chose this type of wax for making Ootsie candles:

• It is better value for money – thanks to its lower melting point it burns a lot slower than other waxes which means it lasts much longer, giving better value for money
• It is toxin free and burns cleaner and brighter than other more traditional paraffin waxes which makes it better for you and better for your home.
• It is completely sustainable and biodegradable making it better for the environment too. (Being biodegradable it washes very easily with just soap and water which makes repurposing the glass all the easier)
• It is an excellent fragrance carrier so it works in harmony with the fragrance oil and does not require chemical fragrance amplifiers; this results in a well-balanced, true to scent candle.

Finally, natural wax is vegan friendly and cruelty free so why not change to natural wax candles today...

Are any of your candles tested on animals?
Absolutely not. I love animals. The wax and fragrance used in every Ootsie candle is vegan friendly and there are no animal products in any of the ingredients whatsoever.

How fragrant are Ootsie candles?
Natural wax candles have a lovely, delicate scent throw; the smell from Ootsie candles could best be described as ‘subtle but definite’, they will fill a medium-size room nicely.

Why does my candle have an uneven surface after burning?
Rough, uneven or bumpy surfaces are quite common with natural wax and can happen when the hot wax cools and solidifies at an inconsistent rate. If this happens don’t worry, it may look a bit strange but it is absolutely normal and will not affect the performance of the candle in any way, it’s just a by-product of the natural wax.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Its no problem to cancel or amend your order, simply send an email to hello@ootsie.co.uk as soon as possible and we can sort this out (provided the order hasn’t been despatched).
